You can use this guide to help troubleshoot basic issues if you are having trouble completing a long distance call.
First you will want to check to see if you can make a local call. If you cannot make a local call than you are having other issues then long distance troubles. If you are able to place a local call, you will want to make sure that you are using the “1+” and then the number to make a long distance call within the United States. If you are still unable to make a call please consider the following information:
Check to make sure that you have subscribed to long distances services that can be dialed through your telephone service.
If you have not subscribed to long distance services, you will need to use a dial-around code in order to place a long distance call. See below for more information on how to place a dial-around call.
You or someone else could have placed a toll restriction on the account to block long distance calling.
